The 2008 Betaplus calendar features images by Monique Janssen. Monthly calendars are available in JPEG format, suitable for use on your computer desktop. Select the image resolution that matches your computer screen and click to download. PC users can right-click the opened image and select "Set as Background" or "Set as Wallpaper" to load the image to your desktop in one step.

Monique Janssen, the photographer of Dutch origin, is living with MS. She was diagnosed with MS in January 2000. She works as a designer for a Web Design Agency. This job gave her the possibility to explore as a photographer. Monique started her career in photography by taking ‘raw’ pictures for digital editing and finishing. Nowadays, she focuses stronger on the ‘clean’ pictures. Monique enjoys taking pictures of everything she comes across; nothing escapes her macro lens. Her passion is macro photography: to make visible what you can’t really see. She wants to show people how beautiful apparently ugly things like an insect for example, can be. Macro photography gave her a total new view on the world.

Monique is - as a result of MS - unfortunately often tired and sometimes she cannot do all the things she had planned ahead for herself. But since she started treatment, she is doing relatively well: she has not had any relapses. Her MS is not preventing her from doing the things she enjoys most: like her passion for photography!
