Hi! I have the exact same problem! I wake up every day with my feet burning (not the whole foot, sometimes the small finger, sometimes 2 fingers...), it’s really frustrating, going on for 3 months, and it doesn’t last all day, it’s just for a couple minutes, but still... It doesn’t go away! And it’s a terrible sensation, like my flesh is melting. I can’t quite describe it.
I read on a website that burning feet can be the 1st symptom of MS and I freaked out! My neurologist said it was probably not MS, told me to do an MRI wich showed 2 small lesions, and like yours they are also not in a typical MS place.
He still doesn’t think it’s MS, but I’m doing a lot of exams, heart exams, blood tests, the whole thing, and they all come back negative. And I think, if it’s not anything else, it has to be MS, right? Im getting more and more frustrated... But they need proof before they start medicating you for MS, so I guess it’s the right thing to wait...

I live in Portugal, but if you want to talk say something... Hope we both get better soon.

Hi there,
I had the same problem, numbness on the leftside of my face, arm en fingers, tingling, burning on the left side of my neck. This all in 2005. On Good Friday 2006 I had a neuritis optica attack and after treatment with prednison iv 4 days in the hospital, my vision is not totally back. I see a grey spot in my right eye. The eye nerve is damage. The MRI i made last year showed a lesion and the next showed demylisation in the spine. The neurologist say that clinically proven I have MS. Last month I started with Betaferon. Im had some side flu-like symptons in the beginning but now it start wearing off. Thank God.
I still have tingling, burning on the left side of my neck, where the lesions was seen, swollen ankles, wrist and neck. My right leg is getting heavy and I have problems walkihg. Because I live on a island where there are no neurologist I have to travel every three months to another island. 2 hours flight..
I like to focus on things that I can do now and plan days ahead what I am going to do. Only then I can survive.
Take car all
