Hi am new to this site, have had several ms symptons since last June, face pain, tingling, burning, numbness, twitching, cold spots, dizziness, had mri of brain and whole spine in July, all clear, repeat in December all clear, another in Febuary because I wanted one with contrast, all clear, and a neg L.P. One neuro told me I can 100% rule out ms now, and another said I can never rule it out. Could I still have ms or does the clear tests make it more unlikely. Am very sick and tired of not knowing.
I went to a talk on Sunday & the Dr said that one sure fire way of diagnosing MS is by the MRI scan, The plaques on the brain show up as white marks. I would try not to worry it may not be MS. rosemary
I know but its hard not to be concerned, I have had numb feet now since last June and its now moved into both ankles. I have also read and heard that ms lesions may not show up at first, mri may not be stronger enough to detect them. I should have a more positive attitude, but I think the not knowing is worse than the knowing. But yes it may not be ms I have had 3 clear mris as well as a neg L.P. Thanks for posting
