Funny how MS makes you feel like a hypochondriac, isn’t it? I have headaches as well. I have read that this is common with MS. I can’t tell if it is the MS or sinus...or? At least with the MRI I know I don’t have a brain tumor (ha ha). I just keep a giant bottle of Tylenol in my desk drawer at work and take two at the earliest symptom. I have noticed that any ache or pain or irregularity I experience makes me suspect MS. When I only see my neurologist every 3 months or so it is hard to know. I keep a list of questions and concerns and ask at my appointment.
I am new to the site but saw your question about headaches and I have one every day. I am on a large dose of topamax (400 mg) and like you take tylenol, ibuprofen, aleve anything over the counter I can get my hands on. I have had lidocaine injections in my neck but nothing seems to work except when I take my prescription migraine meds. My insurance company only fills 12 a month so I try to live with the pain as long as I can then take Maxalt or Relpax. I had optic neurotis and I’m not sure if that has anything to do with the head pain. Sorry my post is so long.
Hi, I am new to all this too, And suffer from headaches which seems to be every day or so, I tried all the obvious things like a chiropractor, physio etc. My MRI showed sinus blockage but still didnt think they were sinus headache so asked my Nurologist and She said sometimes the headaches can be related to the lesions on the brain and also explained that the electric shock feeling I get when bending forward is linked to the lesions on my spinal cord, I dont suppose this really helps but at least I know Im not alone in the headache club.
