I have been in hospital for 2 weeks. With still no answers, Brain scan clear, but from reading this web site feel that I have many of the sypmtoms of MS , I have also had a day room diagnoses of MS. BUT I feel like the Doctors think I am mentally ill rather than phyiscal ill. This is my second epsipde of being ill, and I am finding walking and using my right hand difficult. And I am feeling really down in mood at present. Any advise as I feel if I mention MS to the DR they will think I am being a hypo.
hi, i’m sorry you’re feeling so bad. it seems if we say we have the symtoms of ms people just automatically think you’re just complaining. i still have to have the mri but i feel that was already. i can’t advise as i don’t have any answers but i believe you.
I’m sorry you’re struggling with this. I know it’s tough. My doctors searched my brain several times and never found lesions. It wasn’t until they scanned the middle of my back that they found it. Have you tried that? I didn’t know it could be in your spine, but not in your back. Also, Lyme disease has many similar symptoms as MS, as does aspartme poisoning.
>I have had a problem with my left eye seeing like i am in a fish bowl filled with water...that promted an mri and i have white lesions in my white brain matter. I had a spinal tap done and the results are negative for MS. Does anyone else have positive results of their spinal tap if they had one? my vision has not improved yet and i have also seen an opthomologist who is now sending me to a neuro opthomolgist..i have been on sterioids and no relief..the drs are not convinced i have ms. help anyone?
I know its so frustrating ms is a bizarre one. I was told i had an ear infection for nearly 2 months (kept falling over) I couldnt eat or drink for 9 days lost a stone couldnt stand for lond and I had to get carried to doctors 4th visit in 2 weeks and cried and begged. They kept putting me on donperidone - an anti sickness drug for people having chemo then prochloperizone which is a low dose antiphsychotic as they thought I was maybe thinking the room was spinning when it wasnt blah blah anyway did mri and got treatment eventually. A friend of a friend was on stroke tablets for nearly 3 months before they realised. Its very tedius and agrivating but when it’s sorted it’ll be worth it. An optician surprisingly is a great place to go. My optician notived a problem and wrote to my doctor who ignored it and didnt match it up when i cam back a month later in tears and covered in bruises from where uid fallen over... blah balh anyway go back to the opticians and just keep complaining to doctor or seek someone else a private specialist not much help sorry but good luckxxx
