Hi, I have MS and Tourette’s. For many years, I thought that my Tourette’s was a result of my MS until I finally did my hiccup thing in front of a MS doctor and he said - Nope, that’s tourette’s not MS. So, although MS runs in the family I have no idea if Tourette’s does as well. I get my MS from my Mom’s side of the family that firmly believes that if you don’t have anything good to say just say nothing at all --- which means.... I have a lot of "special" relatives and I haven’t a clue as to what their real medical history.
I believe there might be some connection but I don’t know what it is. Frankly, my TS is annoying but I have no interest in taking drugs for it. I take plenty of meds for my MS and since it doesn’t hurt and I just don’t care what other people think I won’t bother taking more meds.
