I’m just trying to understand what’s going on and people (other than my family) think I’m crazy. 4 yrs ago I had an MRI done b/c of the numbness I was having in my face. The numbness would come and go. Thank goodness I have not had that problem since. Anyways, the MRI showed 2 small spots on the right side of my brain that the Doc. said would be causing the numbness on the left side of my face and could possible be early signs of MS. Now I’m having problems with my left eye. When I look to my left side I have blurry double vision that tends to bounce or move. My right side is normal. Went to the doc today he is going to send me to an optimologist and schedule another MRI. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms?
its called optic neuritus; inflammation of the optic nerve which causes visions impairment. right now i cant really see all to clear out of my left eye. my optimologist says it wouldve gotten better by next month .. well that was a month ago soo dont always go by wat doctors say. my MRI showed lesions on my optic nerve which means ive had it before... one thing that gives it away is flashes of light when its dark... sometimes out of no where i get it and it scares the crap out of me.
Yes, it’s your optic nerve. The double vision is how I finnaly got diagnosed with ms and after the IV infusions for five days my vision is back to one. It was crazy weird how it was back to one the night of the first infusion, but during my next days infusion it went double. And then back to one that night. By the last infusion I was seeing single with light sensitivity. Everything was bright and washed out. But that has nearly gone now and it’s been four months now. Sometimes when I get really tired it will start creaping back to double, but I blink and focus and it goes back to one again. Doesn’t happen alot, many once a month. My eye doctor said to wear a patch. That wasn’t gonna work for me so I went to my doctor two days later and got the MRI. So in a way the vision thing got me diagnosed.
I am having double vision as we speak. My family doctor told me to wait it out-like I have a money tree in the back yard to pay bills...I am going to a different doctor tomorrow and will ask to go to an opthamologist so they can put prisms in the lenses of my glasses. I’ve missed a week of work and cannot go or drive with this patch on my eye, although it helps around the house-if you don’t mind looking like a pirate! I don’t want to do steroids again unless necessary-this really sucks!
