Has anyone heard of MS patients having spinal surgery for calcificated discs pressing on the spinal cord causing bladder and bowel problems and walking difficulties
Hi there, I too have ms, had a relapse in 2001 and spasmed myself to a slipped disc ! I had very sucessful surgery to sort out the disc and don’t regret it a jot. it took me a long time to decide to have surgery because the sucess rate varies, and it is not at all like having minor surgery. however i was in so much pain and on large doses of morphine that in the end the decision was clear. If you are not in pain then I would seriously question the value of surgical intervention unless or until you are in pain. Good luck M.
