Hi, I’m Paola, and I used interferon beta 1 b, I feel that if does enough good to me, because when for any reason I suspend it I get to feel a little badly. The price varies, but in Mexico it’s a little expensive, the price is between 16,000 pesos the month. (1,600 dollars approximately)
Thats a good question "does it really help" i have been using it for 2 years now and since starting haven’t had any new attacks, nothing serious anyway. Would i of had one without using it, that is also a good question. Wish you luck anyway Best wishes Paul

Hi. I’m Jorge and use Interferon Beta 1b (betaseron or betaferon) since 6 months ago or so.
I have big expectations on the drug but I still can’t give you any opinion or point of view ’bout it.
A lot of people is satisfied with it and I trust them (and my neurologist, of course).
Speaking of the price I get in contact with some people in Bayer - Shering an they told me a 2,000 dlls. a box price.
The drug is hard to find in the drug stores and I’m getting it in Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS -Instuto Mexicano del Seguro Social-), Just like Paola (we are with the same neurologist).
I have had MS for 10years, 7 of which I have been on Betaferon. I haven’t had any attacks since being on injection. I am working nearly fulltime and I have 4 children. Power of the mind along with this medication make for a positive future.
I use the drug since May. My neurologist says that the drug will prevent possible attacks. In Greece it’s price is 1600euros, but I’m getting it for free from the social security and health services. All I know is if you feel bad when you’re not, you’ll be bad....
