A Guide to Common Neurological Examinations
Visual acuity
MS may affect the optic nerve to the eye, which is actually an extension of the brain. People with MS may experience double vision, blind spots, difficulties in visual acuity (sharpness of vision) or other impairments. An eye examination may be performed by the neurologist to test for this.
